A Tuscany, Italy Painting Workshop with Ellen Diamond

In the small town of San Giovanni d’Asso, an exciting workshop took place! Amid the gardens of the villa of a noble Italian family, Ellen taught a group of painters  en plein aire – the excitement of expressing in a colorist and impressionist style, the delight of painting in the Tuscan Light.

Participating artists were invited to join Ellen in painting the enchanting Tuscan countryside. This workshop focused on the challenge of simplifying the chaos of the outdoor subject and capturing the fleeting light and shadow patterns. Demonstrations and critiques were used to help everyone to create exciting paintings.
